If you're going to lay some Barolo into the gas tank to have on hand and crush with a nice steak, or at the end of a long week, this is IT. Indeed, in recent memory at a tasting with Shop friends clients and winemaker Vittore Alessandria, while we had open some truly fabulous wines stretching back into the '90s, the showstopper of the evening, for me and others, was a 2006 bottling of this wine, Alessandria's more minor
